Why I Started Northern Forge
For more than 20 years, I installed roofs that the big builders in this area put their names on. They got the credit. I did the work. In 2025, I decided homeowners deserved to deal with the person actually doing the job, not a company that marks up what guys like me do.
I've been in this trade for more than 20 years. I know what a properly installed roof looks like, and I know what a rushed one looks like two winters later. A reused pipe boot. Nails above the nailing zone. Missing ice-and-water shield at the valley. These aren't rare mistakes. They're what happens when a crew is racing to the next job.
When you hire me, you get me. I show up to every inspection. I'm on your job site every day we're working. And I'm the person who picks up the phone when you call. There's no dispatcher between us. No project manager passing messages. My name is on the license and on the warranty. I take that seriously.
I'm based in Coon Rapids and I serve the full Twin Cities metro. I built this company on simple principles. Do the job right. Be honest about what you find. Treat every home like it's your own. Those principles don't scale well if you take on more than you can personally oversee, so I stay focused. The work shows it.
